In accordance with the identified African development challenges and the critical role the African leaders are called upon to play to address it at both national and regional levels, the Sam Nujoma Foundation was established upon H.E. Dr. Sam Shafiishuna Nujoma’s retirement from both South West African People’s Organization (SWAPO) Party and National Presidency and registered in 2005 under the laws of the Republic of Namibia as a non-profit organization.
